Description

These are two warehouses, now restored and converted into offices, dating from the early 19th century. They are built of yellow brick with a brick modillion cornice and a stucco blocking course. Number 2 has three storeys and one bay, with a rounded corner featuring an inset turret. The turret has its own brick modillion cornice and stucco blocking course and projects outwards above the entrance, which is splayed across the corner angle. The main elevation features wide, three-light windows with brick pilaster jambs, heavy wooden lintels, and glazing bars set in recesses flanked by giant brick pilasters. Similar windows are also on the return, with the central bay containing loading doors on all three floors. Number 4 is set back, with three bays between giant brick pilasters. The central bay originally had an entrance at ground floor level and a loading door at the second floor, sheltered by a wooden canopy. The segmental-headed windows have gauged brick arches and glazing bars. The interiors were not inspected at the time of listing.
