Description
The Five Bells Public House is a substantial, three-storey building dating from the mid-19th century, located on a corner site. It is designed in a heavy classical style, constructed of brick with generous stuccoed dressings. The ground storey features pilastered shop fronts that have been somewhat altered. On the first floor, there are three large windows, with two off-centre windows on the return. The building is topped with a large, bracketed eaves-cornice, which has windows alternating with five bells in the frieze. There is a modern addition to the north of the building.
