Description

Eastnor House is a house built in the early 19th century, although it may incorporate an older structure. It is two storeys high with an attic and a sunk basement, and has nine windows across the front. The roof is slated with a mansard curve, hipped on the left side, and features five square dormers. The exterior is stuccoed with a parapet and a first-floor string course. The slightly projecting end bays have three-light windows set within modified entablature surrounds on the ground floor. A long, projecting central bay has a rounded end. Sash windows with glazing bars (some have been replaced) are set in reeded architraves, with a curved window in the centre. The central door consists of two long panels, pilasters, a reeded cornice head, and a plain rectangular fanlight within a narrow architrave. There are three wide steps leading to the door, with cast iron railings enclosing the area well. Curved sash windows with margin lights are located on the sides of the central projection. The north-east return reveals an old brick wall with a stuccoed front to a wicket gate.
