Description
No 3 Lloyd's Place is a mid-18th century house that underwent front alterations in the early 19th century. It has three storeys and three windows, featuring a rendered front with a parapet. There are two-storey chamfered square bays on either side. The first-floor windows are long and slightly rounded, opening to semicircular balconies with wrought iron railings supported by long wooden brackets. The second-floor windows have been altered, and the central window on the first floor has lost its glazing bars. The ground floor has three-light sash windows set in moulded wood architraves.
On the central axis, there is a late 19th-century pent porch with trellised sides that holds an altered door in an old panelled reveal. The porch features a moulded architrave, sunk panel pilasters, a fluted frieze adorned with paterae and urns, and a cornice enriched with dentils and fluting. The west return has a canted bay that is blank except for two windows. The rendered rear elevation includes one cambered window in a flush box frame and a canted bay with three sash windows in flush moulded frames, now resting on cast iron posts. Inside, there is a mid-18th century staircase with turned balusters.
