Description

These are two early to mid-19th century houses, originally numbered 94 to 104, now 258 to 264 Dacre Park. Each house is two storeys with an attic and a basement, and features a central three-window block topped by a pediment, with a slightly recessed entrance bay to one side that has its own cornice and blocking course. The houses are built of multicoloured stock brick, with stuccoed frontages. Pilasters are present, a single one at each corner and paired in the central section, supporting a wide frieze below the overhanging pediment. A cill band runs along the first floor. The sash windows have glazing bars; those within the pediment are round-arched. Moulded architraves frame the ground floor windows, which have console bracketed cornices. A six-step approach leads to a prostyle Ionic porch with a four-panel door and a rectangular fanlight above. Numbers 258 to 266 form a notable group.
