Stockwell Green United Reformed Church

Stockwell Green United Reformed Church is a classical chapel built around 1830, located set back from the road. The building is two storeys high and features three bays, with a pedimented gable end facing the road and an additional projecting left bay that may have been added later in a similar style. The exterior is finished in stucco and is supported by four tall Ionic pilasters that hold up an entablature with a dentil cornice. The pediment also has a dentil cornice and includes a louvred round window in the tympanum. The first floor has round arched windows with moulded architraves, impost strings, and keystones that rise to the main entablature, while the ground floor windows are similar. There is a projecting central porch with a double door and patterned fanlight, framed by a round moulded architrave with an impost string and keystone that rises to the porch entablature, which is topped with a plain pediment. The porch is flanked by side buttresses with scrolled tops.
