Description
This is an early to mid-19th century terrace comprising numbers 2 to 7, Hanover Gardens. The terrace consists of seven houses, each arranged over three storeys with a basement, and featuring two windows each. The buildings are constructed of stock brick, with the ground floor stuccoed and decorated with dentil cornices supported by console brackets, as well as shell antefixae. A stuccoed top frieze, cornice, and blocking course are also present. Number 2 has had alterations to its ground floor. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within moulded architraves with cornices above on the first floor. Each house has a four-panel door topped with a cornice and a rectangular fanlight featuring margin lights. Number 7 is curved at a right angle. Cast iron area railings are present. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
