Description

The stables, located immediately to the southwest of numbers 10 and 11 Bishops Terrace, were built in 1898 as part of the former Hollis & Son factory. They are constructed from stock brick with an engineering brick plinth and red brick dressings. The building has a slate roof and stands two storeys high, featuring four bays. The third bay includes double doors at the ground floor, with a loading bay above it and a gablet above that. The doors are set beneath flat lintels, while the ground floor has fixed lights and the first floor features sash windows, both set beneath red brick arches. The gablet is supported by a corbel bracket and has a parapet with brick coping. The stables are connected by a wall to numbers 10 and 11 Bishops Terrace and are included for their group value.
