Description
Neville Terrace is a terrace of houses built around 1860. The buildings are constructed of brick with stucco dressings and feature slate mansard roofs. The design is balanced, with each house being two windows wide, and they are arranged over two storeys, with basements and attic mansards. The centre and end pairs of houses, along with No 3, have full attic storeys. The terrace includes projecting Doric porches and a continuous balustraded balcony on the first floor. The first-floor windows have square heads with architraves and cornices, while the ground-floor windows are a mix of sashes and casements with plate glass. There are arched dormers and attic windows, and later 19th-century two-storey bay windows can be found at No 14 and No 17 Onslow Gardens. The terrace is topped with balustraded parapets and features cast iron area railings.
