Description
Nos 35 and 37 Harrington Gardens are semi-detached dwelling houses built between 1881 and 1884 by architects Ernest George and Peto. They feature pitched, hipped, tiled roofs and are constructed of red brick. The buildings rise three storeys with dormers. Each house has an advanced pavilion on the outer side; No 35 has two windows wide with a tall central chimney that rises from the second storey and an entrance to the left, while No 37 is four windows wide and includes a Dutch gable in the roof. The windows are mullioned and transomed, with segmental relieving arches and carved brickwork above the leaded lights. Brick pilasters are positioned between the windows. There is a linking section of three windows between the two pavilions, and railings enclose the forecourt. The interior of No 37 has survived, while the interior of No 35 has not been seen.
