Description

A pair of houses located on Harrington Gardens, dating from the late 19th century and built in a Dutch style. They are situated opposite numbers 35 to 45. Number 24 has three similar gabled sections, each topped with a pediment. The houses are three storeys high with a basement. They feature mullion and transom windows with leaded lights; number 24 has a large bay window on the ground floor with 14 lights. A recessed porch is present, featuring a carved brick panel above the entrance. The right-hand return of number 24 has a segmental pediment. Number 26 has a single gable with a Flemish outline, a cambered pediment, and shell-headed niches. It is four storeys high and has two polygonal bay windows on the ground floor, each with a leaded semi-domed roof and stone mullions and transoms. Recessed arched entrances are present, with a carved brick panel above.
