Description
The Church of St Michael and All Angels is a church built between 1870 and 1871 by architects J & J S Edmeston. It is designed in the Rhineland Romanesque style, constructed from white brick with terracotta, and features dressings made of red Mansfield and Forest of Dean stone. The church has an aisle-less nave with apses at both the east and west ends, and there is a stump of a tower at the west. To the south, there is an apsidal chapel, while the north side features a rectangular Lady Chapel. Inside, there is a Baroque reredos dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century.
