Description
The walls and shelters in Emslie Horniman Pleasance Gardens were designed by C F A Voysey in 1914. These structures are located within an acre of gardens that Voysey designed and were financed by M Emslie Horniman. The walls are roughcast and feature buttresses with circular openings facing the street, topped with gabled finials. There is a central entrance that has a Tudor arch, and shelters to the north and south that are adorned with triple Tudor arches. The paving is made of York stone, and the coping tiles are blue Staffordshire.
