Description

This is a symmetrical terrace of 26 houses, numbered 2 to 54, located on the north side of Queen's Gate Terrace in London, built around 1850 to 1860. The houses are constructed of stucco with slated mansard roofs. The central and end houses project slightly, featuring rusticated quoins on numbers 2-6, 24-32, and 50-54. Most of the houses are four storeys high, with an attic and basement. Each house generally has two windows on the front elevation, but the central and end houses have three. Doric porches give entry at ground floor level. The first floor features arched windows and a balustraded balcony, while individual balconies are present on the second floor. The attic windows are set within a pediment. Houses numbered 24 to 32 are five storeys high and incorporate Jacobean ornamentation to the parapets. Area railings are also a feature.
