Description
No. 1 Palace Green is a detached house built in 1868 by the architect Philip Webb for Lord Carlisle. This tall brick house is arranged in an L-plan with a gabled wing to the right, set behind a parapet. The central entrance features a Gothic arched porch. A two-storey canted bay window is located to the right. The windows are segmental-headed sash windows with returning glazing bars. A tall chimney is situated to the left. The building has cut brick and stone dressings. A two-storey Gothic arch is visible on the right-hand return side, facing the garden.
