Description

The Milestone Hotel, originally a house, was designed by Sir T G Jackson in 1883. It is a four-storey building with attics, constructed of red brick and featuring pink terracotta dressings. The hotel has a distinctive "Dutch" gable front facing Kensington Road, adorned with moulded terracotta decoration and ironwork. Its architectural style combines Franco-Flemish Gothic elements with fine early Renaissance-style decoration.
