Description

The monument to Sir George Farrant, who died in 1844, is a mausoleum located in Kensal Green Cemetery. It is designed in an Egyptian style and constructed from Portland stone. The mausoleum features battered sides and a cavetto cornice. On the west side, there is a pylon-shaped doorcase, which is currently blocked, adorned with a winged disc. The cornice on this side includes stylised hieroglyphs and a stylised head. The south side displays a pylon-shaped inscription panel that is flanked by inverted torches. The entire structure is surrounded by stone railings that match the design of the mausoleum.
