Description
This is a terrace of houses on Hornton Street, dating from 1903 onwards and designed by F.S. Chesterton. The terrace comprises twelve to fifty-four, even numbers. It is three storeys high with attics and a basement, constructed of brick with stone dressings. The architecture represents a final example of the Norman Shaw movement. Numbers forty-four to fifty-four feature sash windows and stone oriels. The remaining houses have stone mullion windows and two or three storey bay windows. Recessed porches are present, each with a segmental headed opening. The terrace is documented in the Survey of London, Volume 37, page 66.
