Description
This stuccoed terrace comprises numbers 1 to 19 Queen's Gate, London. Dating to the mid-19th century, the terrace is designed in an elaborate classical style. It rises to five storeys, with the top floor treated as an attic. Each building has three windows. Notable features include Doric porticos, a balustraded balcony on the first floor, and ground floor colonnades at numbers 1 and 12, connected by adjoining porticos. The upper floors incorporate Corinthian orders, and the third floor features arched windows. Cast iron area railings are present. Queen’s Gate itself was laid out around 1856-58.
