Description
The Church of the Holy Trinity is a Grade I listed church located on Prince Consort Road in the City of Westminster. It was built between 1901 and 1907, designed by G F Bodley, using Bath stone with a pitched slate roof and a parapet. The church is in the Decorated Perpendicular style and features a five-bay nave with lean-to aisles, an additional four-bay aisle on the liturgical north side, and a chancel that includes a Lady Chapel to the north. There is a bell turret on the western gable.
Inside, the church has a hall church layout with tall arcades supported by quatrefoil piers and a barrel roof, but it lacks a clerestory. The east window consists of seven lights with reticulated tracery and stained glass created by Bodley and made by Burlison and Grylls in 1907. The interior boasts fine fittings, including the altar, pulpit, chancel stalls, reredos, font, and stained glass, many of which were designed by Bodley himself. It is regarded as one of Bodley's finest works, according to the Survey of London, Volume 38.
