Description
No. 13 Kensington Palace Gardens is a substantial house built between 1851 and 1853 by C. J. Richardson. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and designed in the Gothic style. The building features a symmetrical elevation with a central tower and an open parapet adorned with Gothic tracery. It has two storeys plus a basement, arranged in a 4:3:4 pattern. The house includes sash windows and a central oriel window with cusped transoms and open quatrefoils in the parapet. The corners are accentuated by diagonal buttresses, and the central entrance is highlighted by a 4-centred arch with a Gothic canopy. The interior has not been seen.
