Description
No. 12A Kensington Palace Gardens is a substantial house built between 1863 and 1865 by James Murray. The building is faced in ashlar and has three storeys. It features a symmetrical elevation with seven bays, a central doorway flanked by rusticated columns, and a continuous entablature adorned with a Greek-Key frieze that runs over the bay windows on either side. This design is repeated on the first floor with similar decorative elements. The second floor is highlighted by a giant cornice with a honeysuckle frieze, a balustraded parapet, and a mansard roof. To the right, there is a cast iron conservatory with arched windows, and the area is enclosed by a balustrade. The interior has not been seen.
