Description

The Upper Stables is a former stable building, now used as a residence, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of yellow brick with a green slate hipped roof that features bracketed eaves. The building has Portland stone footings and stands two storeys tall, with a width of seven windows. The central three windows are slightly advanced and positioned beneath a hipped gable. The ground floor has arcades that are largely blind, but there are thermal windows at the heads. A central entrance completes the façade.
