Description
This is a chest tomb located in Kensal Green Cemetery, dedicated to John Campbell. The tomb features splayed sides and a canted lid with pedimented ends, which are decorated at the corners with elaborate swags of fruit and foliage. On the southern face of the chest, there is a carved escutcheon surrounded by a wreath of thistles. The right-hand quarters of the shield are believed to represent the Campbells of Breadalbane. Above the shield is the Breadalbane boar’s head, and below it is the family motto, "Follow Me."
