Description

The tomb of John Robinson McClean, who died in 1873, is located in Kensal Green Cemetery. It is made of Carrara marble and is designed in the form of a Roman altar, set on a tall granite base. The tomb was designed by Edward Adams and carved by George Sinclair. It features an inscription panel surrounded by a rinceau-decorated border. McClean was a Member of Parliament, a Fellow of the Royal Society, and the President of the Institute of Chartered Engineers.
