Description
The Montem Primary School Laundry Centre is a separate building located to the south-west of the school, directly facing Hornsey Road. It was built in 1897, as indicated by a cartouche on the second storey, making it contemporary with the main school building. The structure is constructed of stock brick with red brick dressings and features parapeted roofs. The main facade facing Hornsey Road is three storeys high and has a two-window range of 2/2 and 6/2 sash windows. The ground floor has a lean-to roof that connects to the main elevation. Above this, there are two additional floors, with an attached pediment over the second storey that includes pilasters and a brick arch framing the central cartouche.
