Description

Approximately 100 metres of railings are located to the south-west of the junction with Willow Bridge Road. These railings were built in the 1820s for the New River Company and are made of cast and wrought iron. They feature straight-shaft designs with urn finials, and every eleventh shaft is coupled with another shaft that is set back. These railings are linked to the re-alignment of the New River and the rebuilding of Canonbury Road Bridge in 1823.
