Description

This is a 19th-century lamp located in Pensioners' Court at The Charterhouse in Islington. It is made of cast iron and was produced by Bowler and Co of London. The lamp features a broad square base adorned with the arms of Thomas Sutton, octagonal columns with roll-moulded capitals, ladder rests, and an octagonal lantern of the Nico type topped with a double ogee cap.
