Description
This is an early 19th century terraced house, now occupied by a cafe on the ground floor. The house is constructed of yellow brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco finishes. The roof is hidden behind a parapet. It is four storeys high with a two-window facade. The ground floor has a flat-arched entrance to the left of an early or mid-19th century bowed shop front. This shop front retains its general outline, though the original glazing is lost; it has an inswept fascia and cornice. The upper windows are flat-arched, with gauged brick heads which are now painted. The windows on the first floor are set within recessed round-arched panels with a stucco springing band. The windows throughout are sash windows with a 6/6 pattern; original window frames are present, though the second and third floors appear to have replacement frames. The cornice and parapet are likely made of composite stone. Inside, the house features a standard dog-leg staircase with stick balusters. No other original features of interest remain on the ground and first floors.
