Description
No. 58 Colebrooke Row is a three-storey terraced house dating from approximately 1727, with the top storey added in the early 19th century. The brick facade is rendered and finished with a stucco scored to resemble ashlar. The roof is hidden behind a parapet. The house has a three-window front, and includes a round-arched entrance with a moulded architrave, a cornice supported by consoles, and a fanlight with decorative glazing. The panelled front door sits within the arch. All windows are flat-arched with sash boxes that are nearly flush with the wall, and have a moulded cornice. Stacks are located on the party walls. A rainwater head is inscribed with the date '1768 XDA'. The photographer Angus McBean lived and worked in the basement.
