Description
These are a group of three terraced houses built around 1820. They are located on the north side of Nelson Place in Islington. The houses are constructed of yellow brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with roofs of Welsh slate. Numbers 16 and 17 form a three-window range, with a double-fronted appearance, while number 18 has a two-window range. All windows have arched tops with brick detailing. The doorways feature cornices and overlights. A parapet tops the facades. Numbers 16 and 17 have two dormers in their mansard roofs; number 18 has one. Chimney stacks are located on the party walls. Number 16 has undergone partial rebuilding, and some rebuilding has also occurred at number 18.
