Description
62 Monument Way is a late 18th-century house of three storeys and a basement, originally featuring three windows. The construction is of brown brick, topped with a stone-coped parapet. The sash windows are set within gauged red brick arches, and the original window bars have been lost. A four-step approach leads to the front door, which consists of four fielded panels and one flat panel within a deep reveal. The door is accompanied by matching panelling and a soffit above a radial fanlight. The doorcase is constructed from fluted square half-columns, an entablature with triglyphs and guttae, and an open pediment with mutules. A two-storey rear extension was added in the mid-to-late 19th century.
