Description

This is a row of six houses located on Black Lion Lane, dating from 1842. The houses are constructed of brown brick with slate roofs. Each house is two storeys high and one window wide. They have arched entrances with segmental-headed windows to the ground floor, and square-headed windows above with gauged heads; much of the original window glazing bars remain. A brick band runs between the two storeys. The roofs are low-pitched and extend to the eaves, with hipped roofs at the end houses. The row forms an integral part of the St Peter's Estate, which was developed from around 1811 by the ground landlord George Scott.
