Description
The Vicarage to the Church of St John the Evangelist, built between 1864 and 1866 by architect William Butterfield, is constructed of yellow brick with red brick bands and stone dressings, topped with a slate roof. The building features two windows facing Glenthorne Road and stands two to three storeys high. On the left side, there is a canted three-storey bay window, while to the right, a first-floor window has a pointed stone drip mould above it. The return elevation to Iffley Road also displays similar drip moulds over the windows and entrance. There is a single-storey attached annexe to the northeast that shares these architectural details. Additionally, there is a brick garden wall surrounding the property.
