Description
This is an early to mid-18th century house located on Church Street in Stoke Newington. The front facade was altered in the late 19th century. The house is three storeys high with a three-window front. It is constructed of stock brick with red brick bands and has a rendered parapet. A two-storey canted bay window is located on the left-hand side. The rear elevation indicates it was originally built as an integral part of the adjoining properties at numbers 235 and 239, and it is included on the heritage list for its contribution to the group value of these buildings. The property is part of a group of buildings including numbers 247 and 249, and all contribute to local architectural interest.
