Description
The Refreshment Rooms, formerly listed as Clissold House, is a late 18th-century country villa located in Clissold Park, N16. The main west front features two storeys with five windows in the central block and one-storey window side wings. The ground slopes away on either side, resulting in a three-storey height at the back, with two-storey round bows projecting from the wings at either end. The building is constructed of yellow stock brick, accented with a stone cornice and a balustraded parapet. There are five steps leading up to a full-width Doric loggia made of stone, which has fluted columns and a balcony above. The sash windows are adorned with gauged flat brick arches and delicate glazing bars. Notably, the loggia at the right end features a swept roof.
