Description
No 173 on Hoxton Street is a tall house dating from the late 18th century, possibly incorporating an earlier structure. It features a double-span slated mansard roof with dormers and stands three storeys high with three windows. The building is constructed from stock brick and has a stone-coped parapet. The sash windows are adorned with gauged flat red brick arches. The ground floor has been altered with a modern shop front, and the house is set back from the street. No 173 is part of a group with Nos 167 to 171 (odd) and Nos 175 and 177, all of which are of local interest.
