Description
The Geffrye Museum forecourt wall, gates, and railings date primarily from the early 18th century, with later additions. The north and south ends of the wall are original red brick. In the central section, only the lower courses of the original wall remain, and have been repaired to support modern, plain railings. Original 18th-century wrought iron gates have been restored, featuring an overthrow. A modern, curved back entrance has also been added.
