Description

No 1 Cathedral Place is a modern building that includes late 17th century carved and inscribed stones set into the flank wall facing Panyer Alley Steps. The upper stone features a relief of a naked boy sitting on a pannier. The lower stone is inscribed with the words: "When yu have sought The Citty Round Yet still ths is The highst Ground August the 27 1688."
