Description
The Corn Exchange Chambers, built in 1859 by l'Anson, is a Grade II listed building located on Seething Lane in London. This structure features a modified Italianate style, constructed from red brick and Portland stone. It stands four storeys high, plus a basement and a mansard roof, and has seven windows. The ground floor is arcaded, supported by columns at the center, with decorative carvings on the caps and spandrels. The first and second storeys have round-arched windows with cornices, while the top floor features square-headed windows separated by brick panels beneath a large modillion cornice. Additionally, there are four stone shields on the second storey. The flanks of the building are now partly exposed and have been refaced.
