Description

The monument to Thomas Mears, who died in 1861, is located in Highgate (Western) Cemetery. It is made of Portland stone and features a spire above a square base. The design includes pinnacled buttresses and pointed arch side panels that are decorated with tracery and ball flower enrichment. The monument was built by Davies, a builder from Belvedere Road, Lambeth.
