Description
Nos. 8 and 8A, The Mount Square is a stable block originally built for Old Grove House, Hampstead Grove, around 1912 by the architects Parker & Unwin. The building is constructed of yellow stock brick with red brick dressings, designed in an early 18th-century style. It stands three storeys tall and features three windows on each floor, some of which are blind. The doorways are segmental arched and recessed, with segmental gauged brick arches above the recessed sash windows. There are moulded brick bands at the first and second floors, and moulded brick pilasters at the corners that rise from the first floor to support a moulded brick cornice with a blocking course. The interior has not been inspected.
