Description
No. 83 Lamb's Conduit Street is a terraced house built before 1720, and possibly as early as 1709, featuring a 20th-century shopfront. The building is constructed of yellow stock brick and stands four storeys high, with two windows across the front. It has a panelled house door with a fanlight above it, and gauged brick flat arches over the recessed sash windows, with the first-floor windows having glazing bars. The house has parapets and retains original lead rainwater heads and pipes.
Inside, the property features an early 18th-century staircase with turned balusters and a closed string. The staircase hall is panelled and includes a dado and a deeply moulded cornice. The first floor still has some dado panelling and cornices, along with shutterboxes.
