Description
The tomb of Michael Faraday is located in Highgate (Western) Cemetery and dates from around 1879. It features a pointed arch headstone made of stone, which is inscribed and has a moulded architrave, set on a stepped base.
Michael Faraday was a prominent chemist at the Royal Institution, known for being the first person to liquefy gases and for discovering electromagnetic induction of electric currents.
