Description
Numbers 30-34 are a group of five terraced houses and later shops, built around 1788-98. They are constructed of brown brick with red brick detailing to the front, although the fronts of numbers 30-33 have been painted over. The roofs are Welsh slate with brick stacks, and the houses follow a double-depth plan.
The buildings are arranged over four storeys with two windows to each house, except number 33 which has three windows above a flat-arched entrance leading to Warren Mews. Numbers 32 and 33 feature mid-19th century shopfronts with cornices over plain fascias, plate-glass windows, stall boards and panelled doors with overlights flanked by panelled pilaster strips. Similar shopfronts exist at numbers 30 and 31, although the glazing bars were removed in the 20th century. Number 34 has a stucco ground floor with a round-arched entrance featuring a fanlight and a 20th-century panelled door. All windows have gauged red brick flat arches and mid-19th century horned sash windows, and similar sashes are found to the rear. The buildings are topped with parapets featuring stone coping. The interiors have not been inspected.
Attached to the area of number 34 are cast iron railings with torch flambe finials.
