Description

This is a row of four terraced houses dating from the 18th century, which have been altered over time. The houses now contain later shops.

The exteriors are three storeys high with attics and basements. No. 73 is built of multi-coloured stock brick, with a painted band on the second floor. It has a tiled hipped roof with a dormer window and two windows at the front, plus a further window on the second floor of a 19th-century extension over the entrance to Perrins Court. The mid-19th century shopfront features colonnettes supporting an entablature and round-arched lights, with an enriched grille to the basement. The upper floors have slightly recessed two-pane sashes with exposed boxing, set within gauged reddened brick flat arches. There is a parapet above. The extension is stuccoed with a slated roof and a sash window.

No. 74 has a painted stucco exterior and a tiled hipped roof with a dormer window. It has three windows and a mid-19th century round-arched doorway with a bracketed hood, but now features a 20th-century shopfront. The upper floors have recessed two-pane sashes with exposed boxing and a parapet.

No. 75 also has a painted stucco exterior and a tiled hipped roof with a dormer window. It has three windows and a 20th-century shopfront that retains late 19th-century console bracket fascia stops. The upper floors have recessed sashes with exposed boxing and a parapet.

No. 76 has a painted stucco exterior and a slated mansard roof with dormers. It has four windows and a 20th-century shopfront in a Regency style, with panelled risers and an inswept entablature. The upper floors have architraved hornless sashes, with a cornice and blocking course.

The interiors have not been inspected.
