Description

Numbers 7, 8, and 9 are three terraced houses built around 1773 by C. Cole and J. Gorham. The houses are constructed of brick, with No. 7 featuring brown brick that is tuck-pointed and has red window arches, No. 8 is multi-coloured with yellow window arches, and No. 9 is red with yellow window arches. Each house has four storeys and basements, with three windows across the front. They have wood Corinthian doorcases that include architraved half pilasters on the sides, fluted friezes with roundels, and dentil cornices. The patterned fanlights are a notable feature, and there are gauged flat brick arches above the recessed sash windows, most of which date from the 20th century. The houses have a parapet. The interiors have not been inspected. The properties also feature cast-iron railings in front of the areas, with No. 7 having finials and twisted columns to the left of the doorway, while No. 8 includes a lamp-holder.
