Description
The tomb of William Friese-Greene is located in Highgate (Eastern) Cemetery and dates from around 1921. It is made of marble and features a pedestal with a tall spire. The design includes a stepped rectangular base that is inscribed, with the pedestal having inset colonnettes at the corners and a projecting cornice. The spire is topped with a cross finial and has a buttressed and gabled base. William Friese-Greene was a pioneer in the development of cinematography.
