Description
This is a terrace of four shops with living accommodation above, originally known as Field Place, built around 1799. Number 179 was restored in 1989. The buildings are constructed of yellow stock brick, with number 179 having a slate mansard roof and dormers. The terrace is three storeys high, with cellars below. Each property has two windows. They have wooden shopfronts featuring pilasters that support an entablature with a projecting cornice. The shop windows have been altered, and the shop doorways have fanlights above panelled doors. The recessed sash windows have gauged brick flat and segmental arches. Parapets top the buildings. The interiors have not been inspected.
