Description

A terrace of nine houses built around 1845, located on the west side of Albert Street, Camden. The houses are constructed of multi-coloured and yellow stock brick, with No. 125 painted and No. 137 in grey stock brick. The ground floors are faced with rusticated stucco. No. 127 has a slate mansard roof with attic dormers, while Nos 135-139 are slightly recessed. The houses are three storeys high and have basements. Most have two windows each, although No. 129 is incorporated within No. 131, which has three windows. The doorways have round arches with pilaster jambs supporting cornice heads; fanlights are present above the doors at Nos 133-137 and are radial in design, with panelled doors. No. 131 has a square-headed doorway with a 20th-century door. Gauged brick flat arches are visible above the recessed sash windows, except on the second floor of No. 125, which has 20th-century metal-framed casements. The first floors have cast-iron balconies. The parapets of Nos 123-127 are faced with stucco. The interiors were not inspected. Attached cast-iron railings with spearhead finials are also part of the property.
